Indoor meetings start at 7.15pm in the Social Activities Annex, Long Eaton Public Library, Broad Street , Long Eaton NG10 1JG. Cost £1 for members, £2 for visitors. All welcome. map (blue placemark)

2012 Outdoor Site Visits

• June 4 – Orchid Wood – Country Walk with Flowers

• June 16 (Sat) – Wardlow Hay Cop – Orchids & Wildflowers

• Jul 2 – Bonsall – Mining Botany

• Jul 9 – Nottingham University – Rock around the Campus, a Geological Walk round University Park

• Jul 30 – Toton Sidings Walk

• Aug 20 – Derby Arboretum – Tour of first Public Park in the World [Map]

- Cost for each site visit is £1 for members, £2 for visitors. All welcome.

Sunday Sessions run 10.00am – 1.00pm

Please note our regular Friends of Forbes Hole task sessions will now be on Tuesdays, which seemed to suit most people, all start at 9.30am and finish at 12.30pm.

Construction and repairs to steps and viewing platform…and much more.

Tuesday 26th June 9.30am – 12.30pm

Tuesday 24th July 9.30am – 12.30pm

Sunday 16th September 10am – 1pm (date to be confirmed) – Hay raking of meadow area.

2012 Forbes Hole Public Events

Sunday 12th August 2pm – 4pm. A wildlife walk around the reserve, focusing on butterflies and dragonflies. This event is free of charge. All welcome, no booking required.
