Moth Watch at Hayworth Rd Park – Sandiacre

On 12th July 2013, entomologist Ian Viles led a moth watch event on Hayworth Road Park, Sandiacre, Derbyshire NG10 5LL which was attended by LENS member David Pinney. The moth watch was for 2 hours from 10 pm to 12 midnight

As part of Moth Night, the next  Hayworth Road Park Moth Watch will be on Friday 9th August led by Ian Viles, entomologist.

It is likely that we shall start setting up the equipment from 9 pm. The mercury vapour light will probably go on at around 9.30 pm.

If coming by car, it is best to park in the small car park by the shops on Hayworth Road then walk up the track beside the Chinese takeaway (very good). You might want to bring a torch and folding chair. We’ll probably stop at midnight if not earlier.
